Highlights of this package includes the Ta Dzong, or the national museum, Paro Rinpung dzong with its traditional cantilever bridge and the legendary Tigers Nest perched on a cliff. The National Memorial Chorten (Stupa), Changangkha temple and the National Library exhibiting ancient scriptures, in Thimphu are some major attractions.
Once you cross the 3,050-meter Dochula Pass located on the way towards Punakha, you will begin your journey to see the incredible Punakha dzong, considered the most beautiful 17th century Bhutanese fortress. We will also visit Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of fertility, founded by the Divine Madman, Drukpa Kuenley in Punakha in the 14th century.
Upon arrival at the Paro International Airport, you will be received by our Guide and Driver who will drive you to Thimphu. You will enjoy the drive from Paro-Thimphu through the valley and beautiful landscapes. Visit National Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordhenma and Tashichhodzong before you finally retire for the night.
Visit National Library, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, Folk Heritage Museum, Royal Textile Academy.
Afternoon proceed to Punakha via Dochula pass at 3300 m. Continue your journey to spend the night in Punakha.
Visit the majestic Punakha Dzong and walk on the longest suspension bridge of 230 meters in the country across the Phochu (male river). In the afternoon proceed to Paro and on the way visit Semtokha Dzong. Continue the journey to Paro Valley where you will stop for overnight.
Morning hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Later part of afternoon visit Rinpung Dzong and Ta Dzong.
After breakfast, depending on your flight timing our Guide and Driver will drive you to Paro Airport for your onward journey.
